A transient-triggered stutter, with no host clock and no button. Each detected hit captures the next 50–500 ms and repeats it a set number of times before the dry signal returns.

Playback speed runs from fast-forward down through a dead stop into full reverse, so a repeat can race, freeze or run backwards.

The trigger responds to how far a hit stands out from what surrounds it rather than to absolute level, so one setting keeps working when the source gets louder or quieter. WEAR re-encodes each repeat from the previous one, so a long train degrades like a copy of a copy.

It runs the same DSP as the module in Tangle; nothing is cut down for the standalone version. One licence covers both: this plugin, and the same module unlocked inside the rack.

Twitch Soundie ships with the full CV/logic modulation section every Tangle standalone carries. Pick a modulator, drag a patch cable onto any knob, and that control moves on its own, no DAW automation required.

A rolling capture strip runs beneath the panel, always recording the plugin's output. No transport, nothing to arm. Played something great while you were just tweaking? Click-drag across the history waveform to select it, then drag the slice straight into your DAW timeline.

Twitch Soundie is a module from Tangle, the free cable-patchable rack.
