tunesets the carrier frequency, 200 hz to 6 khz on the normal range. the squeal at twice the carrier moves with it.

shiftdetunes the transmitter away from the receiver's fixed local oscillator. the leak whistle rides at twice the transmitter, so this slides it from about 1.2 to 2.8 times the carrier while the recovered signal stays put.

driveinput gain into the transmitter's preamp, from unity up to about 6.7 times. more drive swings the carrier further and saturates the preamp.

mixdry/wet balance. fully down is dry only; fully up is the effect alone. the wet path is phase-inverted, so part-way settings cancel about half a decibel against the dry rather than nulling.

what each knob does

Four controls, no menus. Here they are on the panel itself.

tunable carriertune sets the carrier the input rides on, and the t jack sweeps it live.

detuned recoveryshift offsets the recovery oscillator, so the mismatch is what warbles and breaks up.

drive it indrive pushes the input harder into the modulator for more artifacts.

wet cancels drythe wet path is phase-inverted, so blending dry against it leaves only the recovered wreckage.

Perspicacity ships with the full CV/logic modulation section every Tangle standalone carries. Two slots, each running one of six modulators: pick one from a slot's tabs, drag a patch cable onto any knob, and that control moves on its own, no DAW automation required. Both slots can run the same kind, each its own copy, and slot 2 can be switched off.

lfoSmooth cyclic movement: sine, triangle, square, sample & hold, or a shape you draw.

curveA looping contour you draw by hand: smooth, spiked or stepped.

noiseStepped, smoothed or slewed randomness for texture and wander.

transientListens for hits, then fires a trigger plus an envelope on every transient it hears.

A rolling capture strip runs beneath the panel, always recording the plugin's output. No transport, nothing to arm. Played something great while you were just tweaking? Click-drag across the history waveform to select it, then drag the slice straight into your DAW timeline.
