§ what it does

radio-teletype system

The input transcribed into radio teletype and read back by a receiver. Loudness becomes symbols, symbols become warbling tones, and what returns is a data shadow of what you fed it.

LOCK sets how well the receiver tracks. Centred, it follows you; pushed either way it slips, stutters and lands on wrong notes. BAUD is the typing speed, SHIFT the spacing between tones, BITS the size of the alphabet, which is how many loudness steps survive, and MODE picks FSK, PSK or Hellschreiber keying. The CLK jack sends the recovered clock out to drive the rack.

It runs the same DSP as the module in Tangle; nothing is cut down for the standalone version. One licence covers both: this plugin, and the same module unlocked inside the rack.

A rolling capture strip runs beneath the panel, always recording the plugin's output. No transport, nothing to arm. Played something great while you were just tweaking? Click-drag across the history waveform to select it, then drag the slice straight into your DAW timeline.
